Molding appeals to us because it is one-shot deal. We have been continuing a process of trial and error, "How is it possible to make the ideal products?" is a question we thought about. This line of thinking leads us to the idea of building up employee' skills as well as contributing to develop new technology being piled as know-how throughout the entire societ. We recognize the importance of working on environmental conservation such as energy and resource saving as well as mass production of high-quality products or cost reduction, which is considered as a matter of course for the manufacturer. Introducing computational design simulation, we have worked on both of them. We have adopted DEFORM(Design Environment for Forming)" to find problems molding virtually. It enables to track down serious problems such as "Getting rid of crimple" which comes to major bottleneck in molding without actual molding and deeply examine measures. Because we can simulate molding on computer as much as we want, it leads to reducing production loss of mold and shortening time for production. Also by introducing a new construction method which decreases the amount of small piece of scrap, we are saving cost of raw materials, heating or electricity. We work on both efficiency and energy and resource saving so that we can meet customer needs. Basing on know-how we have built through these work, we will work hard on technical development and productivity for higher-precision and higher-efficient production system.
In terms of heat forging, to decrease deformation resistance of material after being heated up to over recrystallization temperature, the material is formed by being pressed with mold. Because the shape is determined with a single blow, it is required to use advanced techniques with lots of training and experience to make high-quality, precise products. Lathe turning is also used during the post-process in our plants. Although it is very different from molding; It can be adjustable afterward, which is difficult for those who are engaged in molding.
DEFORM is a CAE software which enables to simulate all sorts of molding pattern such as how metallic materials would be changed, load condition for tools, change in shape after heat treatment or prediction of small piece of scrap when we cut it off.
